FedEx refused to deliver a package with a Huawei smartphone in the US
The American edition of PC Magazine conducted an experiment: a journalist from the London office of the magazine tried to send a package with a Huawei P30 smartphone into the United States. The Parcelforce postal service accepted the package in the UK without any problems and sent it, but its partner in the United States, FedEx, refused to transfer the package with a smartphone, IMEI of which was listed on the consignment note and sent it back to the sender with the wording: “the parcel was returned due to the difficulties of the American authorities with Huawei and the Chinese authorities”. The publications journalist reported this on Twitter.
Later FedEx apologized for what happened, calling it an “operational error.” In mid-May, the US authorities have placed Huawei and several dozen related companies on the black list, banning these companies from buying American software and equipment.
Huawei is planning more Intellectual Property Lawsuits
“In recent years, we have not shown perseverance in the search for royalty payments for companies that use our intellectual property, because we have been engaged in the development of our business. When we have more free time, we can try to get money from the companies that are exploiting our intellectual property, confirmed by patents,” said Huawei CEO Ren Zhengfei.
According to data collected for CNBC Relecura, Huawei has obtained more than 69,000 patents around the world related to everything from data transfer to managing network traffic. Huawei owns the world’s largest portfolio of patents related to the mobile technology of the new generation 5G — 1554. By this indicator Huawei is ahead of Nokia, Samsung and LG Electronics, according to analytical company IPlytics. Earlier it was reported that Huawei plans to claim more than $ 1 billion for 230 patents from the US mobile operator Verizon and its subagents. We are talking about patents for wired infrastructure, Internet of Things technology and network equipment, which are used by more than 20 operator suppliers.
Mark Zuckerberg announced the launch of Libra cryptocurrency in 2020
On June 18, Facebook officially presented its cryptocurrency project called Libra and launched testing of a digital wallet Calibra.
Facebook introduced Calibra digital wallet, which will be used for storing, purchasing and trading Libra cryptocurrency, the launch of which is scheduled for the first half of 2020. Calibra wallet is still in the testing phase, but anyone can apply for early access. But it will be provided to the ones who pass the verification and identification procedure. The wallet is announced to have two applications that can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play.
Direct integration of the wallet into WhatsApp and Messenger applications, which are managed by Facebook, is also envisaged. The applications will start working in 2020.

Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg commented on the launch of the Libra crypto project. According to him, Facebook is working on a cryptocurrency within the non-profit association Libra Association, together with other 27 organizations. These companies include MasterCard, PayPal, PayU, Stripe and Visa, Booking, eBay, Farfetch, Lyft, Spotify, Uber, Kiva, Mercy Corps, Women’s World Banking, Anchorage, Coinbase, Xapo, Bison Trails.
Samsung is developing the 6G mobile networks
Before there was the infrastructure for mobile communications of the new generation 5G deployed in the world, the telecom giants are already working on a new technology.
Samsung launched the development of the sixth-generation mobile networks as part of its Advanced Communications Research Center research unit, The Korea Herald reports, citing an anonymous source within the company. What exactly is meant by 6G-networks and what technical characteristics these networks will have remains unclear.
The exact date of launch of the next generation mobile network is not reported by the company. It is assumed that this will happen no sooner than 2025.
